I have received this message about five or six times over the last two hours:

Warning: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (61) in /usr/www/users/ixl/vb/admin/db_mysql.php on line 40

Warning: MySQL Connection Failed: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (61) in /usr/www/users/ixl/vb/admin/db_mysql.php on line 40

There seems to have been a slight problem with the database.

It does pass quickly, but has returned also.

I know the forums will slow down from time to time but I have never got this message before.

Nope, I don't know, but Charles has been notified.

Steve, if you start getting those kind of messages, drop a note or PM to the mods.

I just heard back from Charles,

The SQL daemon failed and until it restarts we get these errors. It should be okay soon.

So it should get better soon.
