I have recently upgraded from Windows Me to XP. I have installed using FAT32 and not NTFS. However, when I try to install updated drivers for my HP930c printer and PageManager software I keep getting the following message regarding '16bit Windows Software',
C:\\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG.NT
and it staes that 'This system is not sutable for running MS-DOS and Windows applications, choose CLOSE to terminate the application'.
How can I get around this problem

Any help and advise will be greatly appreciated. ;)

You could check here
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;295322
To see if your hardware is XP compatible.

It seems it must be though because here
http://tinyurl.com/62f1
[or the site that "tinyurl" will take you to]
has "Windows XP" "International English" drivers for your "HP930c" printer.
They only offer American English and International English, not British English!

By the way, http://tinyurl.com/ makes it very easy to put a link in your "Links" bar. You just click on that and a short URL will be allocated to the much longer one for the window you are within and you can copy and paste that instead.

Thanx Sylvander for your reply. I have downloaded the HP driver previously but when I try to install I am faced with the same message regarding the 16 bit Windows Subsystem. I am then given the choice to cancel or ignore both of which stop me installing? According to some literature I would experience this if I installed XP Pro using NTFS but I have used FAT32?
