Downloading compressed games in Zip format

I have joined a virtual railroad but I'm having a problem downloading and installing the files to run it. It seems that they are downloaded in ZIP files. I downloaded software to unzip the files but after that I am stumped. There are all kinds of extractions that need to go on according to the read me files in order to install the files. Trying to learn but can't really get the grasp of it. Need some help if it's out there.

Without knowing the particulars it would be hard to say what to do other than follow the ReadMe files.

Usually when you unzip the archive you will have several files, one of which may be an installer. If there is not an installer then you will need to manually relocate the files to where they need to go.

Can you give a few more specifics about this game?

After reading your PM, it seems to me that there is one or more parts missing.

It seems that what you have is a bunch of add-in modules to the basic game.

The basic game will probably be the one that creates the needed folders.

A list of what files you have downloaded and a link to where it comes form would be helpful.
