I currently own an older Dell Pentium3 650mhz which has AGP version 1.0 in it. I want to upgrade video cards to the newer Geforce or Radeon cards but they say they need an agp of 2x/4x or 3.0 compliant. Does this mean that my computer cannot handle the card since it is version 1.0 AGP? Is this version upgradeable or is it a hardware issue? If so, does this mean that I will have to use an older card that doesnt need anything over 1.0 AGP?
Thanks,
Rob

Hello Rogarr, Sorry to give you bad news on your first post. Sorry:( AGP 1.0 is a hardware issue. I did however run a 2.0 card on a 1.0 MoBo. It worked for the most part but I did have strange sound issues. But my advise to you is to try and find a 1.0 card (should be fairly cheap) or it's time to upgrade all together....
