Okay, was delighted when discovered that 98SE comes with IE 5.00.2614 whatever because had tried IE 5.5 before and didn't like it. Small problem, though, is that service packs I downloaded before are no longer on update page. And, I couldn't get Address Book to import..suspect because version on old puter "newer" than this one. So, question is, should I go ahead and install IE 5.01 Service Pack 2 (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/archive/default.asp) or do I even have 5.01? Do remember going to MS update a couple of years ago and they recommended upgrading IE 5. I started the download, and then had to answer the front door, chatted for a few minutes and came back..maybe 15 minutes..to find "upgrade installed successfully" screen. Was that when I got up to 5.01? When searching for service packs for 5, found an article on how bad one of the service packs was..but article dated in 2000, and page above dated 2001..so hopefully, not the one the article thought sucked.
And yes, will install Opera at some point too! :D But, right now, this one is working like a dream..loading fast, working good, no error messages while surfing. So much better than 5.5 there isn't any real comparison.
