I have been unable to access hotmail recently getting the message 'browser not accepting cookies'

I have tried putting hotmail on always allowed sites, which worked for a couple of days, and setting security to 'low'.

I have IE6, and the 'low' setting immiediately jumps back to 'medium'.

Tried to uninstall ie6, but xp wont let me!

Help.

Firstly, have you checked under "Tools - Internet Options - Privacy" and tried clicking "Edit" and added the hotmail site as a always allow website?

Secondly, if you mean you cannot find where to uninstall IE6 on XP it is under "Start - Settings - Control Panel - Add/remove programs", click on "Add/Remove windows compnents and untick the box "Internet Explorer".

Hope this helps

You cannot uninstall IE6 inwindows XP it is part of the operating system

but you can do a repair by using the sfc command Sfc /scannow
