View Full Version : Win. XP Slow Internet Connection Speeed

Hi everyone,

I have recently installed Win. XP with which I am very satisfied. BUT have a problem with my connection speed to the internet. Do my PC specificaitons play an important role in this regard. To assist those who would like to help here are my PC specs:

Pentium III 500
256 RAM
16 GB HD
Unsing Motorola 56 Internal.

My guess, unfortunately, is that it is your modem that is the source of your problem.

Motorola modems aren't known for being very XP compatible, and often are running (if running at all) using generic drivers.

Trying other drivers might help if you can find the right ones.
