Where is the setting to make my Num Lock key stay on at bootup, instead of off? Thanks for all your terrific responses to my past questions!!

It is somewhere in the CMOS setup.

When turning your system on, use Delete Key when you see a message like "Hit delete to enter Setup" If you see no such message, consult your Motherboard manual or the manufacturer site, and find out how to get into the CMOS setup. Some systems do it differently. Some systems are "dumbed down" and make it difficult or immpossible.

Be careful of what you change when you get into setup. If you go slow and read everything carefully, you will be able to figure out what to do. If you think you did something wrong, there is an option to get out without saving changes. If you are sure you did it right, use the "exit saving changes" option.

There is little documentation anywhere on CMOS setup, so do not worry about functions you do not understand. Just leave them alone. Nobody else understands them either.

You might see an option to disable the &*%$ function. If you find the MOBO manual you will be told that checking this option disables the &*%$ function, but no description of what the function does.
