My computer seems to be having some problems....it says it is out of disk space, even though it isn't. I still have almost 5G of space left. Not sure how to proceed. Is this a memory problem or what? I get it when I am running large programs like paintshop or macromedia. Any suggestions? Running win98, 128mb of ram.

You need to write down the exact wording of the warning, then tell it to us here.
Also go to the Microsoft knowledge base "How To" here
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;EN-US;KBHOWTO
and select your Windows 98 system and type in a few key words.
Put a link to the knowledge base in your favourites.
Nev, catch me in the chatroom tonight, I think it may be related to something we discussed the other night.

You may have solved it already, but if you're talking about PaintShopPro, there are settings in the program for how much disk space and memory to use. And I get that message from Works on my other puter every time I want to insert a pic into a letter..I click on "okay" and it goes ahead and inserts the pic regardless of the "you are out of hard drive space..please delete some files and try again". Which is untrue in my case too.
We got it...it was a trojan/malware running from the Temp folder. It looked like maybe an IRC type trojan, the kind that are commonly used for DoS (denial of service) attacks.
Along with several dialers.
AVG and Trojan Hunter where able to find the problems, but not completely eliminate them because the files in question where still running from the temp folder. Removal was done from DOS.
