First off, recently my windows XP operating system has been crashing. When I go to open my CD-ROM in my computer it says not responding then when i end the task the start bar disappears and I cant do anything but reboot. When clicking on the error it usually says something about hungapp. When I go to my event viewer and click system there are several errors, many have the source acpi and when I click on it it says: AMLI: ACPI BIOS is attempting to write to an illegal IO port address (0x4d1), which lies in the 0x4d0 - 0x4d1 protected address range. This could lead to system instability. Please contact your system vendor for technical assistance.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
Another error says: The attempt to power off DE-0T0H2YF01OM1 failed
For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
The third error says: An error was detected on device \Device\CdRom1 during a paging operation. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
These are the only real errors that have been happening throughout my computer a lot, especially as I scroll down the event viewer there are pages of that CD-ROM error.
If I click on Application in event viewer there are many for Application hang which say: Fault bucket 21955421. or Hanging application iexplore.exe, version 6.0.2800.1106, hang module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000.
another was a warning message regarding usernv, it said: Windows saved user DE-0T0H2YF01OM1\Dan registry while an application or service was still using the registry during log off. The memory used by the user's registry has not been freed. The registry will be unloaded when it is no longer in use.
This is often caused by services running as a user account, try configuring the services to run in either the LocalService or NetworkService account.
Can someone help meeee!!
