i was using razorlame to convert mp3 to wave.then ms error reporting popped up and sorry lame has encountered an error it will have to closed. so i pressed do not send. and went to the folder and found what was a mp3 file of 133,339kb down to 325kb. so i sent the file to the recycle bin. went to delete what was in it. and found do you want to delete windows. then i went to c property/disk cleanup and it said the recycle bin was corrupted.do you want to do it from here. so i did that. and it left 96,335kb in recycle bin. but the recycle bin only wants to delete windose. did a scan disc still the same. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Have you tried deleting form safe mode? or from within Dos?

Some MS Patches at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=297760 for Win2K or XP but you didn't say which OS.

Other fixes would be to delete the info or info2 file inside the recycled folder in the relevant root directory from DOS or delete the whole recycled folder in DOS; they are recreated when the system next starts up. Note that these will be hidden files.

Couple of ideas at http://forums.itrc.hp.com/cm/QuestionAnswer/1,,0xae2731ec5e34d711abdc0090277a778c,00.html

Only other thoughts would be to go back to an earlier restore point or run a repair install.

Another thing to try.
