Security Warning...

Something strange just started happing last night when I opened Internet Explorer. I am getting a security warring wanting to know if I want to "run and install: codecs.Microsoft.com/objects/ocget.dll". The Security Warning also states "The object to be verified is unknown to the Trust Provider"

Any idea what this is and why all of the sudden I started getting this? BTW my home page is CNN and my OS is Win XP Pro.

It looks like you have unsinged ActiveX controls set to at least prompt?

ocget.dll is sort of a "retriever" dll.

Do you have WMP set to automatically download codecs?

I would empty the browser cache, temp file, etc.

Followed up with a run by an antispyware scanner (AdAware or Spybot, links to both in my sig).
