deleted file

i have deleted the file WININET.DLL:internetgetconnectedstate. i have been unable to retrieve it from anywhere on my pc or cd-roms. cannot use the internet or open some programs .urgently need help

i have got the deleted file and unzipped it into my system directory.it still hasnt worked i am unable to use my scanner programs now too, as well as the internet and media player. I desperatly need help ASAP

In the run box try typing regsvr32 WININET.DLL.

i still have not got the file on my computer. I have been told to re-install win 98 SE, will deleting it and re-installing delte my files and programs or will they still be there when i put win 98 back on?:confused:

alicatt is having problems with a missing file. You can get the original thread {merged the threads}
alicatt, have you tried mjc's suggestion?
