My win2k freezes usually on the right click, but also on some other events (button click, menu open...) I tried to reinstall win2k, but it did not help. Also changed memory and power supply. I have ATA 100 card that connects the hard drive. CPU is 866 P3, memory 256Mb PC133 and motherboard is Tyan Trynity400 (VIA 133A) . Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Arrow, sounds like you've a conflict on your system between the add-in ATA card and W2k; check to see if you have the correct drivers for it and w2000, haven't had any experiance with W2000 and these cards, hold on and i'm sure someone here may have another possible answer for you. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif

I have the right drivers, and I have SP2 installed. All other drivers are the most recent, too. I guess that I could try flashing the BIOS, but I am leaving that as the last resort. Thanks for the suggestions.

Back in the fog seems like M$ had a patch or two that can be downloaded for W2K problems such as that. Give MS support website a try. Luck.

Have you checked the mouse(IRQ and I/O) since as I understood the freezing happens everytime you use the mouse.
