I WAS SURFING THE WEB AND NORTON NOTIFIED ME THAT I HAD JUST GOT A TROJAN HORSE. IN THE ACTION SECTION IT SAID NONE. I CLICKED THE MORE INFO BUTTON AND IT HAD NONE. IT WAS LISTED IN THE TEMPORIARY INTERNET FILES SO I DELETED THEM ALL AND RAN NORTON ANTI-VIRUS AND MY MACHINE CAME UP CLEAN. DOES THAT MEAN I GOT RID OF THE TRJ HORSE? IT SAID IT COULD EFFECT MY EXE FILES.

CONFUSED:confused:

If Norton detected it then it probably dealt with it effectively; it could also be quarantined in your virus vault.

However if your surfing habits allowed that one in then maybe others slipped through at some point. Try running both spybot and a trojan hunter from http://www.pcguide.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15179

Welcome to http://www.pcguide.com/ubb/pcgubb.gif

Are you sure the warning was from Norton?? It is possible for someone with bad intentions to spoof a Norton warning and trick you into actually installing the trojan as a result. I would definitely run the security programs recommended.
