Hibernation Mode?

Hello Everyone: I was curious about this, During the day i leave the pc in Hibernation and only turn it off at Night! When a Computer is in Hibernation, is it accessable to hacking or Virus's? I do have a great Antivirus program and Firewall. Thanks Tom

Since the computer is off when hibernating (though still connected to power unless you pulled out the mains plug) you would not be vulnerable, unless the computer can be restarted/awoken from Hibernation mode by a resume timer or via a network if the Wake on LAN Access parameter is enabled.

If you are paranoid then pull the power plug after hibernating.

Additional security can be achieved by enabling the secure logon for users by using CTL+ALT+DEL at logon, which means that the keys would have to be manually pressed to achieve a logon to the computer.
