Would anyone be able to tell me what COM port the inserted PCMCIA modem card will be? I assume that the Wint NT would assign the installed serial port COM 1 if the BIOS designates COM 1 to it and the PCMCIA modem the COM 2? Is that correct? Well my problem is that Win NT can't detect my PCMCIA modem at COM 2. It shows that the PCMCIA modem has the address range and IRQ of the COM 2, but the driver can't initialize it! It looks to me like there is a mismatch of the COM ports and where the PCMCIA actually is and i don't know how to fix it! Thanks in advance for your inputs!!!!
