Is WinMX safe??

Is WinMX safe to use?? Can people hack you through the spyware files it installs on your computer if there are any??

I've been using WinMX for over a year and never had any problems with it. As far as I know I've never picked up any spyware from it and never gotten a virus from any file I've downloaded (knock on wood).
My buddy uses it a lot more than I do and he's never had a problem from it.

I will say it's a bit of a ram hog after a couple of days running it non-stop so a reboot is in order (for me anyways). That's about all I can tell ya.

There's a couple of other sites devoted to WinMX tweaking but they all pretty much say the same thing. A quick google search will find them easy enough.
