hi everyone,
I have a bit of a problem. everytime I try to login into the server(server1) it keeps bringing the login screen, actually the sceen where it said Ctrl alt del then the login screen. I can't get in on any mode.
Does anyone have any suggestion on how can i get back.
This is my main domain server. I was able to get all the data from a tape and move it to another server(server2) and I still using this server(server1) as domain even though I can't logon to it. But if i need to add a user or change a password i'm fry.!!!
Please any suggestion will be appreciated.
Thanks
Chavito :(

I guess it would be nice if I tell you that I am using a Windows 2000 server.

Chavito: Sorry to be no help to you, but I don't even really understand the problem. I don't know anything about Win2000, but are you talking about an ISP when you say "server"? And if so, have you called them? It's possible that a password setting got screwed up somewhere, and they should be able to help you with that.

No this is actually the main server machine that I can't sign into it. I installed windows 2000 server from windows NT 4.0 last week and everything was working just fine. when I was ready to move it to the server room, and boot it. that's when I couldn't get back to the server(this is the main domain server).
Must of our data is there but can not be access. Before all this happen I also have another machine that has windows 2000 server that I was using to share some data too. So right now I load all our company data on that machine from a tape back up. But I can't get access to the main server so like i said if I have to add a new user. I am not going to be able to do it since I can't sign in on the server. I am just palnning on reinstall windows 2000 server this weekend when nobody is working.
I just can't figure out why is not leting me sign in as Administrator or as nothing.!
It was giving me an error but not anymore it was:
WINDS could not start due to a missing or currupt database restore the database using WINDS manager(or WINSCL.exe found in the windows 2000 resource kit and restart WINS, If WINS does nnot start beging with a fresh copy of the database(by the way i do not have the resource kit)

Again, my apologies, but I have no experience whatsoever with what you are doing. We have some experts on networking and such, so if your plan for this weekend doesn't work, please try posting again.
