Hello everyone, I'm having a bit of a problem here and was hoping for some input from any experts out there. Heres the situtuation....I just purchased a mobo/cpu combo (shuttle AK12-a, antholon 1-gig mhz) anyways...the motherboard supports both 100mhz and 133mhz for the fsb...yet when set for the latter speed(133mhz) that the system cant get past the post test??? when set at 100mhz the system boots just fine but at 1/3 reduced speed on the cpu (750mhz) obviously due to the lower fsb setting. The fsb settings are set manually with jumper pins on the mobo, and there are also some software settings in the bios. Your choices in the software settings are limmited by what the fsb speed is set at manually. By the way....the cpu says it will support the 266mhz setting and that can only be done by using a 133 fsb setting. I'm thinking about returning the mobo but what a pain that would be especially if it something that i'm missing on my end. Thanks in advance to any and all responses....I've been following the post in this group and think you guys are awsome...thanks again. Dtt

Sounds to me like you purcased this motherboard/cpu combination from Tiger Systems. I would call their technical support, and they might steer you to the actual manufacturer. I have purchased various items from Tiger and for the most part with good luck. I have had a few problems with a complete system that I bought, but they stood behind it with great service.

Hi DTT, I saw the same add on the paper and told myself you can't get one anywhere else at that price, even at eBay. I was going to go and get it(from Freemont) but then, they are comming with faster packages at lower prices almost on week bases.

I had already Looked at Shuttle webside for this motherboard(AK-12) and I think they had updated the jumper settings for faster CPUs. You might want to go there and check the new settings or even leave them an email with your problem
