I used to think that women weren't suited for military service, and especially combat. In at least one case, I've been set straight.
During a fierce firefight, 19 year-old Army private Jessica Lynch was seriously injured, outnumbered, and had lost the rest of her unit. She continued to fire her weapon , killing several enemy soldiers, stopping only after her ammo ran out. Iraqui soldiers captured her and began to put her through the ordeals which only a POW understands.
She's been rescued by Navy SpecWar units and is recovering in a hospital in Germany with a broken arm, two broken legs, a smashed ankle and a cracked spine.
Such courage I've never seen. God bless Jessica Lynch, the Marines, and the Navy SEALS.
