I havent benched marked much before. I would like to do it to optimise and improve my PC's performace and test hardware.
What is a good piece of software to do this? Also I would like to keep everything in tact, so I am wondering which tools I should use to keep everything happy? (Norton System Works?
Thanks,
Olie

Norton could cause more problems than it is worth, but there are tons of benchmark programs available. This one gives some recommendations and benchmarks to help with tweaking:

I use SiSoftware Sandra (http://www.sisoftware.net/) for that kind of thing. It gives you system info, benchmarks, burnin, etc.
Works real good...:)
