Yeah, I forgot how funnee that is. Can You Imagine!

Or what if you had car trouble and called for tech support. They would first advise you that you can receive help online or to continue that it will be a $2.00 per minute charge... You try to explain the problems, that the engine won't start, that it is making a funny noise and keeps cutting out on you but they wouldn't listen and kept telling you it was something else...and had you troubleshoot by turning the lights on and off and then seeing if the steering wheel had movement and asking you if you had installed anything new on the car and you remark that you just put in a CD Car Stereo and then they say "aha..it was probably because of the music CD you put in the CD-ROM which was probably causing a conflict and that is probably why the engine is having problems starting right up... but you try to tell them you know its the engine and nothing else, that you can tell by the funny noises and the bad smell associated with fried engines.. but noooooo they are the support techs (even though they are reading from a manual and their computer pops up different solutions for them to throw at you.)

Exhausted after being on the phone with them for 4 hours (not counting the 2 hours you spent on hold) you are more frustrated with your car then before you called tech support and even though your warranty includes onsite tech support, they don't deem the problem as necessary to send someone out to help you. So, you sigh and call a cab and a couple of weeks later even though your car still isn't fixed, you get a bill for $480.00 for calling tech support:confused:

Yes - but if you incorporate the latest M$ 'features' into the GM car :-

1) You can not sell your car because you do not own it - only the right to drive it.

2) GM would tell you when your licence expired and require you to replace your car at their convenience.

3) You cannot drive it with new tyres unless you have it trucked to a GM dealer who will updated the licence - provided GM recognises those tyres

4) Unless you knew a work round - GM would be able to check out the contents of your trunk whenever they feel like.

5) Just when you and your lady (or man - to be totally PC) where remembering the good old days on the back seat - a snapshot of your actions may be sent back to GM just to see what is going on.

Thank goodness we live in the free world
