Need some advice with multi port Routere !!

I have a cable modem and I would like to hook my PC ,PLAYSTATION 2 and my lap top PC to it via a multiport Router . My knowledge in networking is very limited therefore I would appreciate if someone could give me a step by step instruction how to go about getting the task done . I thank you in advance .

I have never tried to hook up a playstation, but i assunme it will work with arouter if it is capable of on-line gaming. As for brand. I I have great experience with Linksys and I have found their support (rarely needed) to be excellent.

I have a Kingtson Multi-port Broadband router and I have a Playstation 2 Broadband adapter the problem I am, having is drivers and configuring the Router and the other components .

1. I presume the computers work ok straight onto the cable modem.

2. Forgetting the PS2 for now can you get the PC's to work via the router.

3. Can you get the PS2 with the broadband adaptor to work on the cable modem without the router.

The instructions should be in your router.

I would hoop up the pc's first and then when they are on line add the play station.
