If you could have any one thing you wanted, what would it be?

More Wishes!

Seriously, this is like the question. If you had three wishes what would you wish for?

I just can't do it! It creates a personal struggle between my multiple personalties. :D

P.S. I am not making fun of anyone who might have multiple personality disorder. It was just a humorous way of describing the internal conflict one feels when trying to limit themselves to one wish.:)

That would depend on WHEN the question was asked, but right now, I would settle for a bacon sandwich!:D :D

Really, not a BLT?

My wish would turn out like one of those Twilight Zone episodes, with the little evil twist..I want a billion dollars and end up robbing Fort Knox kinda thing:D

I agree with you Goober,
What ever I wished for would have an evil twist at the end. I have also seen too many twilight zones. On a little bit of a serious note I do hope we all get what we need not what we want

The Perfect World.

Secondly, an icy cold lager waterfall.

I think I would ask for something to do with establishing a utopian society and specify that it would exclude the evil twist. The problem with the 3 wishes thing is that they always come up with it on the spot... I would take as much time as needed to draft a way to say it so that it would actually work. Of course, that doesn't mean that the universe would allow it to happen that way.... :D

Budfred, would this then be 2 wishes?? :D

I can't think of a harder "simple" question to answer so I thought I'd pick on someone :p

My wish - and I don't want to start a life after death debate - would be to not "lose" loved ones.

ZURKE - that could be my second wish as well.. :D OK Budfred if I get two you get two!:D

Not 2 wishes, just one very carefully stated wish....;) :D

Colder beer, warmer women and more money.

There's a predicament! Which to choose, the Utopian Society( sans evil twist!) or to not lose any loved ones?
Very philisophical grasshoppers..in a Utopia, would you lose loved ones?
If so, would it be better to have them forever in our imperfect world, or have them as long as we could in a Utopia?

Bravo the both of you! What a thought to ponder..

I would probably want to optimize medical care in Utopia so people can live out life in as healthy a manner as possible, but I don't know that I would want immortality. It gets tricky. More to ponder in preparing the wish....  :)

I think I would choose to have my loved ones not in a Utopian society but the one we live in. I'm not wishing for immortality, (wow this is getting harder by the minute:) ) just the fact that we could all live our time together until our end together.

I'm trying not to be selfish as in I don't want to suffer losing anybody - just trying to put it into words so you get my meaning....

Geez a simple wish? :D

I considered wishing for a perfect world but then realized that I'd have to start searching for a new planet to live...

In The Perfect World you could only die by falling into the Lager Basin created by the Lager Waterfall.

But that is what the taps along the wall would be there to prevent!:)

I wish I was married to Jennifer Lopez. Then after about one year we would get divorced and I would receive about $25 million in the settlement..:D :D :D

Wish #2. Just like #1 but substitute Ms. Lopez for Elizabeth Hurley:D

Wish #3. To come up with a unified theory for the universe.

My wish:

TO have everything I've always wished for

Wish 2:
Everything I will wish for in my later life

Wish three:
Whoever wants one wish right now to have it instead of me

I wish that people who only get one wish wouldn't take three. :D

Oops! What a totally dumb waste of my one wish...:(

That might be the key to the unification theory: Dumbness.

The same thing I try to ask for everyday.
Simply to be a better person.

Budfred? I was talking to some friends on another board about this thread, and they all seemed to be in agreemeent with you, but want to know what your definition of a Utopia is.
The debate there was whether or not a Utopia would be one big idea that everyone agreed to vs. each person would have a different idea of what it would be.

LOL! Told ya I'd be pondering this one!

Utopia IS a tricky concept since my idea of it may be different than your's. My idea would involve something like Star Trek in the The Next Generation era. No need for scrambling for basic needs, no discrimination based on personal differences, opportunities for people to explore their talents in work they love to do, medical care for everyone with most medical problems resolved easily, transportation that doesn't require burning fuels that pollute, and so on....

I like that, Budfred..that would be my idea of Utopia too. I spend a lot of time wishing the human race would just "grow up" and stop behaving like a bunch of spoiled children.

I wish everything would just slow down just enough where I can take time to smell the roses and appreciate it.

I try not to get caught up in the world's obsessive need to go faster and faster, ie technology...all those stupid inane reality tv shows, makes you wonder if we have been taken over by aliens...maybe there really is a Matrix...My friend has a 9 year old who has been whining because she won't get him a fax machine...what is up with that?something is definitely not right.

If I could have one thing, I would want to wake up in the mornings feeling rested, instead of how I feel now.

Sorry Euchytus but I had 3 wishes because my first wish was to have 3. I forgot to say that:D :) :D
