I have had it with this computer. I have finally managed to get the computer to boot pass the 'VERIFYING DMI POOL DATA" after about a week of trying. But now when Windows loads for the first time, right after the Windows emblem comes up I get a message ."While initializing Windows IOS..
Windows protection error. You must restart your computer". I have restarted numerous times and even reloaded Windows, but no such luck. Can someone enligten me as I am at my wits end.
Thanks in advance. I know I will have someone reply, as everybody here is very helpful.
P.S. The computer is an AMD k6 2 500 with Windows 95B

First thing to try is the AMD/win95B Patch (http://www.windows-help.net/windows95/troub-67.shtml) explained in the article. Any AMD K6-2 running 350MHz or faster has a problem with timing in Windows 95B that will cause the error message you're getting.
