Empty Prefetch folder?

Hi guys-
Can I safely remove ALL the files within the "prefetch" folder? (XP Pro). :confused:

Kind of "clean house" so to speak...And then allow Windows to create new files as needed.
What I'm thinking here is that there may be a bunch of junk in there from old programs that I no longer have.

What say ye fellow Window cleaners??? :)

GOOD Idea..
It works and is recommended ..

It is one of the things I do on my system regularly
Each time you use a program it will recreate the Prefetch files
