Hello,
We have GroupShield 5.0 for Exchange 5.5. Yesterday evening, when we tried to update the virus def to 4259 from a network folder, we got an error message saying that it was unable to stop the avscan engine. So, we checked and saw that the virus def was still 4254. We decided not to do the update at the moment. Today, when we came in in the morning, we've found that GroupShield's been blocking all of the file extensions .doc, .xls, .zip. We've manually fixed the configurations. This is the second time we have this problem. The last time was about several months ago. Though, it wasn't the same error message but, in general, it happened when we had problems updating the virus def for GroupShield.
We would like to know what is the cause of this problem and what is the solution to it. Thank you very much for your help.
