Best audio ouput device?

Hi all, just found this site, i'm looking to buy a laptop which will be used for playing mp3 for mobile disco use. What output connection is required from the laptop to go into an external soundcard, USB, Firewire, serial, parallel..etc. which of these will provide the best audio output signal.

The standard mini plug into a line in on your mixer is all you really need. The laptop's sond card should be suffiecient for that.
