revert to previous settings??

I tried to print from winword and the printer(hp deskjet 930c) showed that it was about to print but nothing happened. I started messing with things and deleted some stuff (there was another printer listed and I only have one so....)now I'm not able to do anything in the printer folder, I get the message: spool 32 error and something...rundll 32. I get this message in word: WINWORD caused a general protection fault
in module HPF9XDR0.DRV at 0001:00005212.. I was reading in the forums the other night about going into dos and loading something used previously (stores up to 5?) Can anyone tell me what I do to boot up with previous settings?

....looked around a bit and found what I was looking for....did a restore and I'm back in business...
What I was looking for was the scanreg /restore command.

one thing to remember when an error like this occurs- most of the time a quick reboot will solve the problem without running scanreg /restore.

so the 1st thing to do would be to just restart the computer... then if that didn't work do a scanreg /restore.

Never just go deleting things!!!
