OK, long post here, I am totally stumped. We have two computers, linked together with a network. Worked fine for months. Few weeks ago, my hubby's monitor started shutting down after startup, it gets to the WIN 98 startup screen then powers down. Took it into the shop. Was told it was our power supply and it got his memory too. Fixed it, two weeks later mine started doing the same. We have tinkered with buying a new power supply for mine and switching the two and now both of our computers are doing it. We thought maybe it was one of the monitors, because as soon as mine went out, we put his monitor on mine and it worked, put my monitor on his and it shut off. So he went out, bought a brand new monitor and power supply for his, and it still will not work. Totally stumped here....HELP

Do you have a virus scanner,i.e.norton antivirus.Scan for viruses see what you come up with.Did it start when you loaded a particular software on there? If so uninstall the software and see if that helps out.Try a different video card could be your video card.Try those things and post back and tell us what youve came up with.

We have checked for viruses and nada. And there hasnt been any software we have recently installed in both of our systems. The only thing we can think of is that it has something to do with our network, otherwise we cant see a reason for it to be doing this to BOTH of our puters....?
