Ok, I have made up my mind on my video card, I am buying the "Nvidia Geforce TI4200 - 64 mb" card. My question is, does this card need a heat sync fan? I noticed this was optional at one of the websites that I visited, please advise:confused:

Yes it should have one if it is a G4 ti4200

Heatsink & fan combo is standard on all GF4 Ti's, both retail and OEM. If yours doesn't have one, it means that it has no warranty whatsoever and has been tampered with!

I would think that if it was listed as optional somewhere, then it's a
HSF combo that's better than the one already on it (which would still void the warranty but is much more reassuring than a vendor that would sell you one without a HSF combo).
