I have tried to uninstall IE6, but it will only allow you to revert to a previous version. I did that. Still no luck. I downloaded Opera and xferred it via network, and it works. But I don't like it's interface. The Internet repair tool says a file is missing:
SCRRUN.dll, which I copied from another computer, restarted, and still no luck.

I don't know what else to do! Any ideas?

First suggestion: Don't start a new thread to continue an old one, the old information is not available and the suggestions you receive may or may not be relevant.

That said, second suggestion: If you are not use Win2K or WinXP, you can use this program to get rid of IE 6 and then reinstall. If you are using one of them, I am not sure what the alternative is:

I apologize for beginning a new thread....I hit the wrong button. I have responded to your answer in the original thread. Thanks so much for that IEradicator link........I did it, then reinstalled IE6, and still no go. Thanks so much anyway, for the great link.
