You can boot with the XP disk and format, select partitions etc. to do a clean install.
May have to go into your bios and select your cd-rom to boot first.

Do I have this right? Or do you want to get rid of XP and install ME.
Naw, that can't be right. :p

mojo, Jaber' is correct. If you want to start over and install XP, you do it with the XP disk. You can partition and format right from the XP installation disk.

Was messing around with things today and using an ME startup disk a lot. Mostly it worked fine, but I discovered that if I did a warm reboot from XP it would fail. Shutting down and turning off the power and then doing a cold boot seemed to correct things.

Not quite sure what was going on - but it's possible there was some yet undiagnosed hardware problem going on in the background, so I can't be sure if this is a fix or not.
