You might want to have a look at Computer Surplus Outlet. (http://www.computersurplusoutlet.com)

They have a board that should work for you here. (http://www.computersurplusoutlet.com/viewproduct.asp?ProductID=MOT-SP6SBA)

Then look at their PII processors. (http://www.computersurplusoutlet.com/showproduct.asp?C=4&s=14)

These parts are from pulls (used), buying a new slot1 board these days could very well blow your budget, if you can even find one.

Be prepared to replace case, as most PB cases are very proprietary, and wont mount standard atx boards.

If you shop around you can find more modern combos in your price range. A 1Ghz celeron or athlon combo would fall well within your budget. I'm sure others will have some suggestions for that approach.

Good luck,

Look here (http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduct.asp?DEPA=&submit=Go&description=k7s5a) and here (http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduct.asp?description=19-103-351). That's your motherboard and cpu for $94, shipping included. Leaving you with $131 in your budgeted amount to get a heatsink combo, memory and a case, if needed.

Does your existing system have onboard video? Don't forget that while you shop.

You can probably use most of your components in a new case with a new more modern motherboard and CPU, but you are unlikely to be able to use you old case... Also, if you have one of those Windows install disks that install the whole system with a Packard Bell logo and such, it won't work with a new motherboard, so you will also need Windoze...
