i want to ask a little about ordering pc components on the web.
is it economical?
Don't i have to pay any duty on them?
and lastly, what r generally the requirements to get a credit card?

Economical? Certainly can be. E-commerce sites usually do not have to maintain a retail (i.e., storefront) presence. They can operate from a warehouse where expenses to maintain can be considerably lower.
Many here have had great success with www.NewEgg.com
You do need to be cautious where you do shop on-line...some dishonorable folk do exist who will try to pawn off "grey market" items which will not carry warranties. You really do need to do you homework prior to ordering on-line. It seems as though anonymity provide some with opportunities to become ethically transparent...
Customer Service is also an important facet to consider. Any "perceived" savings can easily become a major headache that will exact a "toll" on your psyche that can easily exceed any "savings!"
Duty? You'd need to let us know in which US State or country you live.
Credit Card Requirements? Usually good credit... It would help to assit in answering your question if we knew your age?

I saw in your other thread that you are in Pakistan, so it is hard to answer the specifics of your question. The best bet to see what it would cost to order from an online vendor would be to check out there policies and price out at least one product. Many of them will calculate total costs before they insist on a credit card being entered.
I would simply look for what credit card options are available locally to see what the requirements are. Generally good credit is the start, but depending on the laws in your area, there could be other requirements like deposits and such. There are other options for paying online too, including electronic cash transfers and services like PayPal. You would need to check the vendor's policies to see what they offer.
As for vendors, it is a good idea to check them out before buying in most cases. www.resellerratings.com has a lot of online vendors rated, although I don't know how deep their international ratings go.
Basically, you need to do some research to find out where you stand. The good news is that once you get something set up, you have access to it whenever you need it.
