Just bought, AMD1.33 266,AbitKT7A-Raid, GeForce3, Sb live 5.1 gamerx, Realtek Network Adapt.,Logitech Part# M/N cordless Mouse, and got 512MRam. Here's my problem.. I experience frequent lock ups, and desktop icons vibrate a little. I've also had a stop error on 0x1E in Nv_Mini.sys, after installing SB Live 5.1. Now, here's how i tried to resolve so far, installed the latest updates for: Abits 4n1 and bios flash, GeForce3 12.41 (WHQL)Drivers, SoundBlasters live3.0, Logitechs update for PartM/N mouse, AMD LargePageMinimum, and Windows 2000 SP2. After thinking about this...and it not working still. I checked the IRQ assignments under Device Manager and got the following:
(ISA) 0 Timer
(ISA) 1 Keyboard
(ISA) 3 unknown device
(ISA) 4 unknown device
(ISA) 6 floppy
(ISA) 7 unknown device
(ISA) 8 system CMOS/Real time clock
(ISA) 9 ACPI-Compliant System
(ISA) 13 Numeric Data Processor
(ISA) 14 Primary IDE Channel
(ISA) 15 Secondary IDE Channel
(PCI) 11 Creative SB Live! series (WDM)
(PCI) 11 Mass Storage Controller
(PCI) 11 NVIDIA GeForce3
(PCI) 11 Realtek RTL8028(AS) PCI Ethernet Controller
(PCI) 11 VIA USB Universal Host Contoller
(PCI) 11 VIA USB Universal Host Contoller
Ok now here's the question....How do I change the IRQ settings in the Bios to change the IRQ 11 for Sound Blaster? Or better yet..How in the world do i fix this gosh darnet thing a ma jig. Probably somebody with experience will have to answer this one! Thanks in advance for responding, I'll appreciate it more than anything!

Also want to add that I am physically using the PCI2 for Network, PCI3 for SoundBlaster, and the G is of course on AGP.

Are you aware of the Soundblaster Live/ VIA 686B southbridge "issue"? Here is one link (http://www.viahardware.com/download/index.shtm), I'm sure there are several others.

Brokin... Man IRQ 11 needs some attention. KT7A and Soundblaster agree to disagree. If you can, run GeForce in the Third PCI slot and see if Windoz won't assign it to a different IRQ after the move. Assigning IRQ's is possible in the Pnp/PCI subsection in CMOS. Go to this Website and browse thru everything for some help on the KT7A. Check out the FAQ.
