Most of us techies around here, including myslef, should be anxiously awaiting the release of the Matrix Reloaded on the 15th. I liked the first one and will go to see the Matrix Reloaded either on friday or saturday (16th, and 17th). As the vote says do you like the matrix? I really like how they do the still camera effects, those are nice.
If you like matrix screen savers here's a nice one:

This reminds me of the time we were waiting for Terminator 2 to come out. I just hope it lives up to the hype. I and my son have watched the Matrix at least 50 times. The all time blow away movie though was the first time I saw Star Wars. Nothing ever before or since was as good as the first time I saw that.
I really do believe we are living in the Matrix

I liked the Matrix the first few times, but it's my husband's favorite movie and we may be up to the 50 times by now also, and I am starting to see some "flaws." The bad guy was awfully emotional and sadistic for a puter "program," don't you think?

Plus, I often find myself slightly disappointed in sequels. We loved MIB, and "two" was okay, but somehow not as good. Think it's because when a movie is a relatively "fresh" concept..something different from same old formulas...the first one is just awesome. But then you've lost that "fresh" effect by two. Another example is Jurassic Park..I loved that movie! Lost World is good, but you can't get the "wow! dinosaurs" surprise the second time around..you're expecting them, you know? And by the way, Jurassic Park, the movie, is very different from the actual novel by Crichton, and Lost World, the movie, only shares one character and the location with the actual novel. So, one might very well like the novels even better than the movies...I do.

Sunday is the magical day for me to go see it. The paper here also gave it bad reviews. I hear there's a LOT of talking. Butotherwise the fight sequences are awesome!

I often find myself slightly disappointed in sequels.
I once posed the question of what was the best sequel and Terminator 2 kept coming up over and over.

That notwithstanding I have to admit I have a strong disliking of movies mostly because they never live up to the hype and when I went to a theatre and watched something I often felt that I threw my money away. So I'm jaded on movies in general. There are exceptions.
I liked Straight to Hell (watch out boys, they may be coffee addicts) and SlapShot (his deportation to Canada and their refusal to accept him) and Jurassic Park 3 was a hoot for some strange reason. I'm probably the only human alive that thought Hudson Hawk was brilliant while the bad guys in Starship Troopers weren't the aliens. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas was something I could wrap my brain around.

Anyway, I finally saw the Matrix on video last fall and I thought it was decent considering the cast. Perhaps in a couple of years when Matrix 2 gets shuffled into the 99 cent bin I'll rent it.

Took the boys (23 & 19) to see it last night - great.

We all liked Hugo Weaving as Mr Smith & Mr Smith & Mr Smith & Mr Smith & Mr Smith & ..............

The pre-movie commercials included a long Microsoft advert about how they care for people and the only reason they exist is to make people's lives better.

We could not work out which was the science fiction - Matrix or Microsoft ?

We feel we should be told !

I saw it sunday and the first half was very random. For example you first see a huge party and morpheus talking then they switch to neo and trinity__________.(You'll have to see the movie I'm not quite sure if i should say.) But it was AWESOME . I'm sorry but the scene with neo and all the agents is just wrong when he has the pole. He was takin all of them out. That was COOL too. Get the game ENTER THE MATRIX to answer most questions you have. Also I read this in the game's strategy guide and it's true. Watch ALL of the credits and there will be a preview for the matrix revolutions which will be all action. CANT WAIT!!! They kinda left you hangin at the end too. The guy that survived from that one ship was the one who was turned into agent smith. So when he wakes up I'm afraid it will be Agent Smith outside the Matrix:eek: . Then also can someone explain when neo takes out the sentinels... what was that.

GO SEE IT!!!
