Hey Gang,

Not sure what I did, but now I'm getting a message periodically that states "This program requires at least 3mb of free virtual memory to run".

I think maybe it has something to do with Macromedia Flash or Netbios or something. I remember that I had the choice to install the flash program in order to correctly view a webpage, can't remember which one now.

Anyone know how to turn this thing off? I checked Add/Remove Programs for Director Player 5.0 and/or Macromedia Flash and neither are listed. Also checked running processes for Netbios and it's not listed either.

Running 2KPro. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks, Malcore. I'll try that tonight.

Flash is a plug-in and I suspect the other program is too, so I am not sure it is listed anywhere other than in your browser. I believe Spybot has a tool to remove plug-ins and a number of other programs do too. I use SystemSuite (selectively) and it has an option for that. There are probably other freebies out there that will do it too.

All downloaded plug-ins like Flash, Shockwave, Class Update for Windows update, Online HouseCall, QuickTime Plug-in are stored in the "downloaded program files" folder in the windows directory, and can be removed from there by right clicking and selecting remove (if they are not listed in the "add/remove" programs). No need for third party software.

(edit)-another way to get there is -Internet Properties>Settings>View Objects.

... and sometimes they show themselves to be corrupted ... the solution is the same ... delete them ... (rather - remove them).
