When shutting down or logging off a user, my system hangs up. When I three-key it, vshwin32 comes up as not responding. When I end task on it, normal shutdown/logoff continues. I have McAfee installed--its either a demo version or freeware from ZDNet. I did a search in Yahoo for vshwin32 hang up and found a page with a script in it, and it mentions setting "bScanOnShutdown value to 0" in the registry by running the script. I think I'll go into registry and reset that value manually instead of running a script. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Thanks!

Well, I went into my registry and changed the value of the bScanOnShutdown to 0, and that worked great for shutting down or restarting, but it didn't do anything for me when logging off a user. Oh, just to clarify, cuz I failed to be more specific in my previous post, vshwin32 is a McAfee virus scan file. Anyway, I couldn't find anything such as bScanOnLogoff or anything similar anywhere in the registry, so for now I have uninstalled McAfee. Maybe I should try Norton? Thoughts?
