Not sure if this goes here but...
I have an HP Pavilion running ME while strolling through my files I found one labeled 'HP' inside was a file labeled 'bin' inside this file was a bunch of application files some looked pretty strange i.e. 'Cloaker', 'Process Logger (which has a clown as an icon) and 'Spawn' all of which lists HP in the version tab. Can these be faked? The reason I ask is 'Process Logger' also list Chupacabra in the internal name and no trade mark info. I have run antivirus, trojan hunter and spybot all have come up clean. Also there are files that list 'Key Concepts' in the version tab it seems that I have heard of them before but can't quite remember what it was. Is there a way to isolate these files until I find out if they are safe?
The two that worry me the most are the 'Key Concept' files 'Killwind' (under general tab "A Ruthless Killer of Windows" and 'Terminator' (Under general tab says the same thing in the version tab in comments "Efficiently assassinates windows or processes; run with no parameters to see syntax."
What do you think? By the way I also ran 'Hijack this and found no references to them. Thanks

Gotta love those names.....those are all HP files (at least put there by HP). They are the files that will wipeout your current install and start the restore process if you ever choose to use the HP supplied restore disk/partition.

PS: Oh yeah they are pretty heavy duty, don't mess around with them too much or you may need to run that restore.....;)
