Hi there,

I have a Dell Inspiron7500 whose originally configuration was PII,128 MB RAM, 25 GB Hard disk and Windows 98 O/S. I replaced the hard drive with a 60 GB hard disk and and upgraded the RAM tp 512 MB ,loaded WIndows 2000 on it. I have a display problem. the fonts are not clear, they loog jagged.
Please help.

Have you adjusted your video settings??? You can generally find most of them by right clicking on the open desktop and selecting Properties. You may need to adjust several different things, but there should be a setting to smooth the edges of screen fonts. There is also an Advanced are of the Settings tab that will allow you to make adjustments for your monitor's resolution and refresh rate, but make sure you don't set them for something you monitor is not designed to handle.

Thanks, I did try adjusting the display properties, but its of no use.

Did you search for and install updated video drivers for Win2K, they are usually different than the ones for Win9x.

If you have a video card, you would go to the website of the manufacturer and look for drivers for Win2K. If you have onboard video, you would go to the website of the motherboard manufacturer or to Dell and look for the driver.
