DirectX 9.0 Update

Last night I installed the Microsoft recommended update for DirectX 9.0 from the Microsoft update site. Everything went fine except when I decided to shutdown the computer for the night, I noticed that Standby was missing from the Windows Shutdown Dialog Box. I suppose that this could have just been a coincidence, however, this update was the only change I made. Today I was able to correct the problem by removing and then reinstalling the Advanced Power Management setting under System Devices. However, I was wondering if this happened to anyone else? I'm running Windows ME.

Nope, did the update and no problems, I am running XP though

Flick, stop it...you'll be a blubbering basketcase in no time if you keep on it.

I would just chalk it up to the fact that you are running ME and most of the new stuff is really for XP (even though they say it may be compatable with other versions often times problems do develop).
