Windows 2000 server

Hello

My question is only a example, not a real situation.

1. I dont understand the differance between windows 2000 and windows 2000 sever o/s

2. What i want to know is
a) if i buy a new server do i have to install operating system in it or is it already has a operating system

b) if i have to can i instal windows 2000 and run a network or do i have to use windows 2000 server as a operating system for the new server ( desktops operating system is windows 2000)

c)if i use a server for the network do i have to buy a print server or can i use a hub to conect the printer

d)server will be used to record customer inquiries and place orders via e-commerce site

e)inernet conection cabel
