one day i have scanned my server with norton antivirus corporate edition by setting the virus clean actions are 1st clean then quarantine . the next day i went to server its hanged and saying an error that nss volume volume name is deactivated .i rebooted the server thrice on third time it is working fine what is the actual problem and what would be the solution norton corporate edition 7.5 edition we are using
i have tried this nss /poolrebuild=data1. but it is saying that data1 not found.
i tryied nss /volumes. it showed the follwing results

here sys, data, data1 are our nss volumes
again i tried
nss /pools. then it showed the following results

in the final row Pool name, state, attributes are showing blank and in logical volumes DATA1 is in Yellow color rest all are in green
so i believe that our data1 pool is distrubed or deleted..
if it is so how do i recover the pool?if its not so what may be the actial problem.
one more thing .when we got this problem...we tried nss /volumemaintenance=data1.
at the time of starting the server while loading NSS vols
it showing data is activating.. data1 is set to deactivate state. i think that its deactivating data1 while loading can we stop this..atleast....or bocz of the above problem only .its showing that error??
plz help in this regard...
under DATA pool only DATA & DATA1 Volumer are there. ive seen now from console one.
i have tried activate DATA1 volume via consoleone , but it not activating..
infact i set DATA vol size 26GB and DATA1 size is 90 GB but now for DATA vol size is 106GB
when i select data1 vol it showing 0 size & status = deactive, not mounted.
so what will be the problem..
and one more thing
these all volumes are in RAID 5 with 4 hard disk [4*40 GB]
how to prcess dsrepair (one of my friend said that 1st take the nds backup and then repair the ds then restore the nds is it right or not plz tell step by step ......
how to get back my data1 volume and data in it ......
if i reinstalled netware 6 oson any other harddisk /same raid hard disk then any chance of getting my data back . why because data is in data1 volume is very important
