I am looking for a new motherboard that will conform to the old LPX form factor.(you know, riser card, I/O barrier on the narrow end) Does anyone know of such a beast? Or have any ideas where I can find one?

You might want to have a look here:

Did that already. There were a few there, but none have the I/O barrier on the narrow end. I'm looking for a real oddball from a minitower case that uses a riser card. Looks wierd as the expansion slots are turned 90 degrees on the back of the case.

Hmm, sounds much like the Dell Optiplex Gxa series of boards. Not sure about the I/O part though. Mine has the expansion cards parallel with the motherboard in a tower case.
But it's an older PII board. Maybe find something used?

I did a search using "riser card" rather than "LPX mother board"
There were some hits, but was not sure if the motherboards were LPX or not...they would just say something like Compaq Socket 7 motherboard...
