I am not sure what you have actually done, have you removed the driver for the video card or did you remove the video card itself? It sounds like you may have a conflict with the video driver, but hard to say without more info.

It would help if you break up your narrative and write as clearly as possible so that we can track what you have done and what the problem might be.

The fact that you can boot into Safe Mode is a pretty good clue that it is probably a software problem.

sorry for the grammer i just get thinking alot faster than i can type! No i mean i removed the phillips rhythmic edge psc 703 pci sound card and driver and i was goin to remove the nVidia gforce 2 graphics card but i wasn't sure because the board doesnt have video support so i only removed the sound card and driver now the board came with 97' something sound on it. what should i do i have been reading alot of articles but was going to wait until i heard something difinitive

The grammar isn't so much the problem as pushing everything together without punctuation, it is hard to tell what you are saying when it all runs together.

I would try removing the video driver from Safe Mode and then reinstall. Make sure that you remove any thing referring to the graphics and then reinstall whatever is needed. You could try reseating the video card if you want, but it isn't necessary to remove it physically.

If this doesn't work, post back what you found out and we'll see what else to try. Others with more ideas will probably be along soon too...

The standard K7S5a comes with on board audio...if the same holds true for the Pro version, then if you are using a PCI Audio Card...you would need to disable the on board sound in the BIOS...me thinks! ;)

ok i just got things out of safe mode. i removed the video driverand just to make sure i removed the sound card also and i will try to install it again in a bit i just want to make sure things are running smoothly. when i rebooted i had several recovered from serious errors checked the tech info on them they all had to deal with mini dump, not sure what they all mean. i have ran the virus scan that came with the motherboard it is pccillian never heard of it before. does anyone refer or prefer another one. is there a certain group of test that i should run to see if things are running correctly??? i have a huge list of benchmarking utilities. thank you for the info on the sound card. for some reason it isn't installing correctly but i will bother with that at a later moment.

Your AV is an adequate program, but make sure you go online and update it as soon as possible. The definitions on it are wwwwaaaaayyyy out of date.

I can't tell from your last post what your status is, so I am not sure what to suggest. Ae you saying that you are able to do a normal boot after removing the video driver? It seems you are saying you are getting a bunch of error messages?? If so, it would be helpful if you posted them....

sorry i am always online. and as for the messages i put them in my 1 response of the day but all they said was: system has recovered from a serious error i then followed the see technical infor. and it referred to the mini dump file all 4 of them. since then i havn't rebooted yet i am about to as soon as i finish wrapping things up i will then be back on line and will get back to you for any futher assistance
