Vinyl, carpet, or hardwood? With or without appliances and furnishings? Metal, composition, or tile roofing? To include garage slab? Wood frame, metal frame, or brick?

:D Sorry about that but these are some pretty significant weight factors.
A typical wood frame house in U.S. should go around 50,000 pounds I think.

Oh Yea Welcome Dougie Quinn to the http://www.pcguide.com/ubb/pcgubb.gif

hi Bassman In Ireland a single storey house is called a bungalow (originated in India) and is made of brick, leave out trappings and furnishings Is 50,000 pounds an educated guess or fact?experience is the result of our mistakes (oscar Wilde)

An educated guess at best. I have been in the construction industry for over 28 years and am assuming individual weights of different components in a house.

Do you have an answer on this or are you researching?;)

:)

I guess we would need the blueprints, cutsheets, specsheets even maybe the 'asbuilts'. The variables are enormous. Cast iron versus PVC drainage is at least a 4:1 ratio 'wait' wise ;) (I did not look it up yet).

Are these houses just brick or done by rock masons on some of the sides? On the inner side of the outside walls, are they studded and insulated, then sheethed? Stone fireplaces or just cast or steel boilers? Furnaces?

Yep, definitely need specs....
