Definition: The morbid fear of Friday the 13th.
Who comes up with this stuff? I had a pretty good day. A guy gave me $200 for setting the jumpers on 10 identical motherboards. Took about 1.5 hours.
I ain't scared...:p

Hey Whyz,
Not the Sound of Music but Mary Poppins. At least be scared of the right stuff.

Get a load of this. You know how several sheep gathered together is a flock, right? A large gathering of cows is a herd, etc....
Well, a large gathering of crows, I'm not making this up, is called a "murder". And a large group of rhinoceros is called a "crash". A big clump of toads make a "knot". And a lot of tarantulas together is called a "screaming-meemie".
Well, okay, I made up the last one.:)

This one deserves its own post...
Nihilophobia...if this is your fear then you definitely don't want to venture here:

Yes! This is what large pink wei gouren (away people) suffer from in southeast Asia.
What's a gathering of geeks called?
A Star Trek Convention?
Pusillanimous purulence?
A Google?
On an interesting side note, 13 is not considered an unlucky number here.I actually live on the 13th floor and press the number 13 on the elevator every day.
The number that is considered unlucky is 4. The Chinese word for 4 is pronounced almost the same as the word for death: suh.
As Monday is considered the first day of the week here, Thursday the 4th would be the equivalent of Friday the 13th.
(some minor trivia for those geeks who like such)

I am in New Orleans for a conference and when I was flying here I sat in Row 14. I happened to notice that there wasn't a row 13, which means that I was actually in row 13. I guess they had too many people refusing to sit in a seat with the number 13 so they just dropped it. I knew they did that is some buildings, but I didn't know they did it on planes.
Anyone know anywhere else that they drop the 13th whatever???

I am considering writing a program that will erase every 13th byte from a hard drive. It will be 13k and will only run on Friday the 13th when the system time is 131313 (1:13:13pm).
It will select 13 addresses from your mail program (capable of reading at the 13 most popular formats) and send out 13 messages to each one. It will choose randomly from 1313 different subjects and attachment names.
I will then offer a program to remove all 1313 versions of the program from your machine for only $13.13 US.
.
.
.
Or I'll just keep driving 13 miles to work at 13 miles over the speed limit on Friday the 13th.
