Help with a little problem.

I have Windows ME on my computer. Anyway, you know that little box in the
bottom right side with the icons in the tray? I hate when software put themselves there without permission. How do I remove something from there?

It's so annoying when software you almost never use ends up there and the computer takes too long to boot up.

Please advise how to remove stuff.

The easiest way to go about this is going to be to download and run StartupList (http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/), post the log here and check it against this (http://www.pacs-portal.co.uk/startup_content.htm) list

You can also just right click on icons in the Quick Launch bar (what it is called) and choose Delete. If you follow up with mjc's suggestion, you can also find out what programs are intruding them and disable them if you wish....
